About

I am a research nurse for a living, I have been juggling a few acts along with my vocation. On my days off I fancy busking in the streets of London as a dancer around Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. I am also an entrepreneur and a writer. I have written a few scripts for theatre in London. Currently Ido portal’s movement art takes up a lot of my time.I love to learn about this amazing body we have been given and the nature of its awareness, this Cartesian state of existence and the psychology behind. My writings are known to give readers insights about bodily kinesthetics, spatial awareness, flight and fight response and proprioception in layman’s terms. It is baffling how our muscles make contractions with a fear based mentality when it comes to movements and how even a slight fake smile could act as a placebo for a confident act.In the quotes of Ido Portal himself “There is no right or wrong movement” Any movement is good movement in the world of Homer Simpsons and couch potatoes. We must move because we can. Because we are humans and not trees. Human beings have the widest variety of movement possible in comparison to other vertibrates. That’s what makes us special. Along with how to use the thumb which is the second best discovery after fire, we can spin, swim, crawl, slide, do a moonwalk on earth, fly, glide , climb trees, do a windmill, walk on hands , spin on your head, dive, mimic an animal movement, fold oneself like a piece of paper like a contortionist would or even transform oneself into a human flag and bend all laws of gravity. The possibilities are infinite. Yet we limit ourselves to our television screen and other blue light gadgets. We have evolved fromBeing quadrapedal animals to bipedal animalsIt is a petty sight to see the youth drooping back into their phones. Are we going back in time to being the ape-man because the situation of our spines look bleak. We are only as old as our spine.True story from DivineKeep moving!
