Pen and Page

Pen and Page
I know your love for pen and page,
For you, Writing letters have never aged,
So now despite being engaged,
I still converse with you on page.

Now that you unfold this letter,
Sitting in the cubicle with a bitter face,
Hope these words make a sweeter space.

Remember that night in the woods,
Walking hand in hand in the dark like amours.
With every step your eyes and lips making me swoon,
Under this magical stars and moon.
Suddenly, you stopped and leaned closer to me,
Making my heart skip a beat,
Then your lips found mine,
Playing a thousand tunes in time,
And as our skin and flesh intertwined,
Our breath created its rhythm and rhymes,
And we let this fusion play on a loop,
Then your soft sounds divulged in the air,
Composing the melodious music of love.

I know that there is a smile on your face,
Replacing the bitter with a sweeter space,
I know your love for pen and page,
For you, Writing letters have never aged,
So now despite being engaged,
I still converse with you on-page.
